Visit Canada this Fall for a Girls Trip

Some friends and I decided to drive an 8-hour trek to Toronto, Canada and experience life on the Six side. As we arrived to the "Welcome to Canada" sign, I felt charged. Not only was I excited to be finally in the Six, I was relieved that we were able to survive all of mother nature's elements that we experienced during the 8-hour trek. We visited Niagara Falls and Toronto. Here’s some places to visit while in Canada.

Niagara Falls

Where to Stay: Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview. Although this hotel isn’t 5 star quality, it does provide convenience to most attractions in Niagara Falls. We could also see the falls from the hotel room.

Where to eat: The Flour Mill Scratch Kitchen. I am a brunch girl so I love to find brunch spots and this restaurant did not disappoint. The serving sizes were huge and the food was delicious and made to perfection. The prices are in Canadian and they prefer credit cards instead of cash for the conversion rate.

What to do: Visit wineries on Niagara on the Lake such as Two Sisters and Pillitteri Winery. Try the infamous IceWine. I love wine and loved visiting these wineries with my friends. Both wineries have food and sitting options. The only downside is that the winery cannot open your purchased bottle for you. You must open on your own or wait till you get back to hotel.

Ziplining. There’s nothing like a bonding experience with your friends and a little adventure. Zipline across the falls with your friends. It is a great experience for $65.

Toronto:

Where to stay: Fairmont Royal York. This hotel is a classic 5 star hotel with many amenities and restaurants. The room sizes are huge with spacious bathroom, closet and living area. The hotels has two restaurants and two bars attached with live dj playing music until 11pm. We had a chance to witness two weddings in one night at this hotel. It was definitely a dream place to stay for a girls trip.

Where to eat: Library Bar. This bar is located in Fairmont Royal York hotel and has unique chairs, drinks, and delicious food. The food menu is limited but the food is great and huge serving size. This bar is made for sexy girls night out.

What to do: Apple Picking at Pines Farms Orchard. This is a great fall activity to do with your friends in Toronto. You can pick the apples then shop at the market for lunch. I also use this opportunity for a cute fall photo op.

Self-Portrait Session at Focus Photography Studio. This is a great activity to do with your friends. Take photos at this studio for $75 per 30 minutes. We all love a good color coordinated photo op. For memories and the ‘gram.

Both cities have its own unique attractions and activities to participate. Building bonds over wine and fall activities is a great way to spend some time with your girls. Plan your fall trip with your girls to Canada.
