Black Girl’s Guide to Coachella
One of the top festivals to attend is Coachella- an annual outside music and arts festival held in Indio, Cali. The festival is held for two consecutive weekends in April with identical line-ups.
I was bummed that I missed the Beychella in 2018 (Coachella featuring Beyonce). This year, Kanye West was supposed to headline but ya’ll know Ye’ gon Ye.’ The Weekend and some other great artists performed.
Even though, I was unable to make it to Coachella this year, our solo traveler, Sosha explored Coachella this year for us. She attended Coachella for her birthday and decided to camp (as many other festival go-ers do). She provided us with a Coachella guide to help us navigate Coachella next year.
Some of her tips include:
If Car camping I recommend arriving that Thursday in daytime between 10a-2pm, so you have time to set up in day light, it would be a pain trying to set up at night. The wait to get in is usually 30mins to 1 hour, you will be searched and your car and cooler as well.
I personally prefer weekend 2- security is chill and usually more guest features.
You will be dancing in the hot ass desert, so Coachella has provided FREE water refill stations, just fill up your collapsible water bottles or water hydration backpacks
She includes a packing checklist and Amazon store list. Download and SAVE this Coachella guide for next year. Sosha also provides a review of Coachella on her Instagram reel.
So we ready for Coachella next year or nah?!
