Five Reasons to Stay at Garten El Zonte in El Salvador

El Salvador is a great place to visit in central America and is known for its infamous rainbow slide and ziplining excursion. I searched and searched for a hotel that would be relaxing and centrally located. I searched Google and Tik Tok and saw positive reviews for this new boutique resort called Garten El Zonte. The hotel is a little pricey ($200 per night) but includes breakfast. Here’s 5 reasons why you should stay in Garten El Zonte:

1. Oceanfront.

This was one of the top hotels in the area that actually is oceanfront. Garten El Zonte sits on the charming Playa El Zonte beach- a beautiful beach in La Libertad. This beach is typical for surfing and bohemian atmosphere. The resort is just steps away from the beach and I was able to take advantage of magical sunrises and sunsets. Waking up early to watch the sunset and write on the beach made my trip to El Salvador worth it. The beach has mostly surfers-but mostly quiet and peaceful.

2. Master Suite.

The master suite is the room I booked and it was a large room with sofa, bed, and tv. The bed was large, comfortable, and serene. I usually don’t sleep well in foreign beds on the first night but the master suite bed was so comfortable that I slept like a baby on the first night. I also enjoyed that the room had snacks for reasonable price-unlike usual resorts.

3. Bathroom.

I am a stickler for bathrooms-clean, updated, and steamy bathrooms. This bathroom included all those elements and was large enough to fit two people at a time. The water was hot for hot showers and great for quick washes after the beach.

4. Infinity Pool.

When booking Garten El Zonte, I saw the TripAdvisor photos of the infinity pool and was excited. The photos did not compete with the actual infinity pool. The pool is about 4ft and perfectly placed above the oceanfront. Because Garten El Zonte is a boutique resort, the infinity pool is exclusive and idle. It can feel like you have the infinity pool all to yourself to enjoy. You can also bring drinks and enjoy a fun tan on a day bed near the infinity pool.

5. On site restaurant.

Completing some research, I realized that most places in El Salvador was driving distance only. I wanted to find accommodation that included food. Most places in El Salvador did not have inclusive or on-site restaurants. Garten El Zonte is one of the few hotels that have on-site restaurant. Breakfast is included in your nightly rate; breakfast includes a mix of Salvadorian options and American breakfast options. The restaurant also serves dinner-great seafood and fish options-which I am a fan of.

Garten El Zonte is a perfect boutique resort that for lux girls who want to relax, get in infinity pool, and eat good food. Check out my youtube for more details. There is no partying near this resort but worth the peace and zen. I enjoyed walking the beach during random times of the day, swimming in the infinity pool, and ordering room service.
