Why JSX Private Jet is Worth the Cost

For the lux women, private jets are a must in terms of convenience, luxury, and privacy. JSX is a US-based 5-star-hop-on jet service, according to their social media. I tried JSX semi-private jet experience for my birthday with a flight from Dallas to Austin. The flight was about an hour long and $150 one way. Here’s why JSX private jet is worth the cost:

  1. Check-In 20 minutes before Departure Time.

JSX sends an email a day prior and a couple hours before your flight to let you know that you need to arrive 20 minutes early to get checked in. There's no need to arrive two hours earlier at the JSX airport. This is efficient and accessible which is very different from a regular airport. The airport is small, which is why you also do not need to arrive more than 20 minutes before your flight.

    2. Bags included in price.

According to the site, you are allowed to check two bags plus personal carry on. I checked in one bag and I had a carry on. The process of checking in bags was seamless and efficient. We did not have to pay an additional price for bags, which is always a plus.

3. Seamless check-in process. Lounge area spacious.

For the check-in process, you need your ID and your confirmation number that they sent in your email. You will be asked to take out any laptops that you have, but the rest of your luggage is taken to be stored away.

The lounge area is pretty spacious with sofas and lounge chairs. I would equate it to the luxury lounge areas in regular airports. It does include coffee, water, and snacks. It also has a place where you can charge your phone or your laptop.

4. Alcohol and snacks included in price.

The alcohol and snacks on the plane are included in the price of your flight ticket. Alcohol is not an additional cost which is different from a regular flight. We decided to get wine for our alcohol choice; but they had a variety of options to choose from such as beer, wine tequila, and whiskey.

5. Extensive legroom.

One of the things I  enjoyed the most about this flight- there was lots of legroom. I typically have to wear compression socks-my right leg swells up after being on a flight too long-but also because of limited legroom, and I did not have this problem on this flight. There was also no one sitting directly next to me which also helped with legroom. The seats were comfortable and reclined.

6. Friendly staff.

The staff was friendly, especially the flight attendant. We only had one flight attendant for this private flight. However, she was a beautiful black woman who made sure that we felt are accommodated and welcomed. She let us take a video, she let us get off the plane last and, let us enjoy the experience without any interruptions. The pilots were also friendly. A couple of them participated in my video and vlogging and supportive of the process.

7. Flights from Austin, Dallas, Miami, Orlando and West Coast.

Because I am an East Coast gal, I will first say they have limited flights on East Coast. However, they do fly from Austin, Dallas, Miami and Orlando. Most of their flights are on the West Coast. If you are an East Coast girl like myself, I would definitely try to book for one of those cities, especially flying between to and from those cities.

This experience was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and essential for all Black Lux women to experience. I give more in-depth look at my experience on youtube. Check it out.

It was only one other Black woman on the flight with us and we all celebrated the moment of being Black, educated, lux women. JSX also has charter rentals where you can book the entire flight. Let’s see if we can get a group of Black lux women to hop on this exclusive flight together. YES! JSX is worth the price!
