RIDING THE BOAT: DMV LUXURY YACHT EXPERIENCE

Whether you are driving the boat or riding the boat, the boat experience is a part of a soft and luxurious lifestyle. Meg told hot girls to ride the boat! And the luxury hot girls have been riding the yachts. I would say that I am definitely a hot girl, so I had to venture out and find a yacht.

My first yacht life experience was in Miami (as I’m sure some of you can relate to) in 2015 with my girls. We rode the boat and vibed with music and snacks. We got to spend some time in the water and ended the night by watching the sunset. It was a unique, thrilling, and relaxing experience.

I always wanted to ride a yacht in the DMV area- the place where I reside. Typically, the spirit cruises are popular in DMV. But spirit boat cruises are not typically personal or have luxurious vibes. Then I stumbled upon, Vibe and Wave Yacht charter. This is a Black-owned Luxury yacht company that provides private boat tour from Baltimore to other parts of DMV area on a weekly basis.

I booked a $500 two-hour brunch ride on Vibe and Wave Charter for a Sunday. I was elated when I received a confirmation call a day prior to my scheduled ride. Captain Kay called me and explained the pick up location, what I could bring, what to expect on the ride, and disclosed that I would be helping him drive the boat! I was ready for the challenge.

Things I recommend you bring for your Yacht Experience:

Sunscreen

Water

Food and/or snacks

Champagne

Sunglasses

Bathing suit (if you are getting in water)

Sandals

When we arrived on the yacht, Captain Kay and his wife, Dajanae, provided white wine (something I mentioned casually to him) for our journey. This little gift meant so much to me. He explained the journey again and we went on our way. His wife helped us with utensils, water, and whatever we needed.

The yacht called Honey Ole Bae was a cream and white 6-seater with a bathroom and cockpit. Honey Ole Bae has a lounge area on the bottom deck and a bed. The seats are comfy and spacious enough to eat, relax, and vibe-especially for a small brunch party or date night.

We listened to music, ate, sipped wine, and relaxed while Captain Kay cruised us throughout and beyond Baltimore. Then Captain Kay called us up to drive the boat. He had us turn the boat around and even sped the boat up to show us the different speeds. While driving the boat, Captain Kay gave us facts about driving a yacht; like the fact that there's no "brake" on a boat.

We "parked" in the middle of the water and we were allowed to lay in the bow (front) of the yacht. We sang, made tik toks, and relaxed. This was probably my favorite part. It was definitely a vibe.

We headed back to Fells Point, Baltimore and ended the ride with some more wine. This luxurious experience felt like Miami in the DMV area. Vibe and Wave Charter currently has sunset cruises. Book here and use my code for 10% discount: SARAALLIE10.
