Top Places to Visit in Puerto Rico for a Soft Life Experience
Travel restrictions have subsided and I wanted to celebrate my graduation with a luxury experience in Puerto Rico. Because getting a master’s while surviving a pandemic is an accomplishment. And deserves to be celebrated. I had already booked my flight to Puerto Rico (I always book the flight first) and decided to research things to do in San Juan, Puerto Rico to celebrate this moment in soft life, luxury Black girl style. Here’s my suggestions:
Where to Stay: San Juan-O:LV
This beautiful adults only hotel is San Juan is luxurious and relaxing. The hotel features luxury gold and black decor with top tier hotel customer service. The room featured wall-to-ceiling windows with the luxurious gold overlay. I loved the bathroom so much I could’ve slept in the bathroom. The bathroom is updated with all gold appliances. The hotel does not have all-inclusive options but I enjoyed the other amenities such as pool and hot tub.
Where to Eat
Bacon, egg, and Avocado Sandwich at Bistro Cafe
Ice Cream Mimosa
Brunch: Bistro Cafe. The oversized drinks, Instammable decor and massive amounts of delicious food makes Bistro Cafe a worth it brunch spot. I slipped into this popular brunch spot twice while in Puerto Rico. My food portion was large and delicious. I got a ice cream mimosa which was refreshing to my palate after an hour wait in the heat.
Tacos at Cannon Club
Dinner: The Cannon Club. This “old money” restaurant is located in The Gallery Inn hotel in Old San Juan. This small, unique restaurant was filled with “old money” families. The ambience was affluent-with old chairs, chandeliers, classical music, a pianist, and musician. The food and wine fit the occasion-classic and good.
Things to Do:
Helicopter Ride. Book a helicopter ride with Planet Air Aviation and explore the city. This experience is a great date night and luxury experience. It’s scary at first but once the nerves settled, this is a great experience for a lux lady.
Hangout at PR Experiences
Paddle Board Option for Aqua Experiences
Aqua Experiences PR- I booked Aqua experience to relax and float on the water. This is a perfect couple experience and date night experience. My recommendation is to book during sunset hours. The sun is not at its peak and it’s magical to be on the water during sunset. This is a nice luxury experience that doesn’t require a boat.
