Yes, You can have fun in Miami with a Teenager!
I know what you are thinking.....what did you do in the city of nightlife with a teenager? We actually had fun and did a lot of teenage-friendly activities. We stayed in Loews, which made it a tad easier since the hotel itself it kid-friendly (the hotel has a pool, game room and movie theater for the under 18 crowd). The hotel is conveniently located on Collins avenue in South Beach, which is close to all restaurants, beach and other activities. The activities we enjoyed the most were:Bike Rides on South Beach. We decided to rent Citi bikes ($4.50/30 minutes) after stuffing our faces at breakfast one morning and we had a bumpy, trippy, boomerang ride. We laughed the entire ride because some of us had not rode a bike in years. We snapped a million boomerangs while trying to escape the heat. We rode along the south beach bike trail that ended at the hotel without harming anyone (thank God). Most importantly, the teenager felt like a teenager and I felt like I was 16 again.
Live. Lastly, we lived. She is a millennial so she had to snap pics at every moment. Admit-tingly, I did as well. However, I enjoyed the moments where we continued to dance, sing and laugh the most. I had fun in Miami with a teenager because I got to become a teenager again. I got to relive my teenage years but this time, bold, brave and fearless.
